Easter is a festival to commemorate that
Jesus Christ was revived by the third day after death, and to celebrate the
coming of spring. Also, Easter is the mobile holiday which changes date by year
(the next Sunday of the first full moon after the date of the vernal equinox), and
it was April 5th in this year!
One of the indispensable things in
Easter is eggs. The egg is a symbol of death
and resurrection, so many families in America decorate eggs and give
them
as gifts to each other for celebrating Easter.
During my study abroad in America, I
could look at
many families decorating their lovely homes and
gardens from the week before Easter, and I enjoyed eating the traditional Easter
cuisine in the day.
For me, this was making my
first Easter eggs and eating cornbread, traditional cuisine in my host family’s
house.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to try and make Easter here in Japan, so I tried to make Easter Eggs and corn bread with my friends this year! It was more difficult to blow out the contents of the raw eggs than I expected; however, we could make Easter eggs that represented everyone's personality.♡
